Program Overview:
Edwin’s Healthcare Institute’s (EHI) Nurse Aide Program is designed to train and develop a graduate who is prepared to provide safe and compassionate patient-centered care within the established legal, ethical, and professional standards in long-term facilities, doctor's offices, and hospitals. This sixty-hour classroom and forty hours of clinical preparation provide the graduate with the skills necessary to function in a healthcare setting.
Program Eligibility Requirements:
Interested applicants initially meet with an Admissions Representative or call the school. Questions may be answered by the admissions representative or, at times, faculty. A tour of the campus, nursing lab, and classrooms is conducted.
EHI does not accept credit for previous education.
Prospective students must have completed all the following Admission Requirements before being admitted into the Program:
➢ Must be a high school graduate or obtain a GED and be at least 17 years of age. If less than 18 years, a Parental signature is required.
➢ Proof of U.S. citizenship, alien status, or legal residency.
➢ Students must have a Criminal Background Check (CBC) on all students planning admission to the program.
➢ Edwin’s Healthcare Institute shall not admit any student to the program that does not have a clear CBC.
➢ Tuberculin Skin Test or negative chest X-ray report or blood test within 60 days before Day one of the start date.
➢ Copy of the covid shot record.
➢ Current American Heart Association CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers card.
